Ingredients
- Lamb shoulder, minced - 300 grams
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh mint, chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
- Red onion, sliced - 1/2 small
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 30 grams
- Yogurt sauce (plain yogurt, lemon juice, salt) - 4 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the minced lamb, garlic, parsley, mint, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns and toast them in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a lamb patty, slices of tomato, red onion, feta cheese, and a generous dollop of yogurt sauce.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with your choice of side.
