  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Red onion, sliced - 1/2 small
  • Feta cheese, crumbled - 30 grams
  • Yogurt sauce (plain yogurt, lemon juice, salt) - 4 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced lamb, garlic, parsley, mint, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns and toast them in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a lamb patty, slices of tomato, red onion, feta cheese, and a generous dollop of yogurt sauce.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with your choice of side.
