Ingredients
- Ground halal beef - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Egg yolk - 1
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Romaine lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well and form into two patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the alioli: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Slowly drizzle in the remaining olive oil while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the same skillet after removing the patties.
- Assemble the burgers: Place a leaf of romaine lettuce on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
- Generously spoon the alioli sauce over the top of each burger, then place the top half of the bun on.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
