  • Roasted red bell pepper - 1 large
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Mayonnaise (kosher) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  4. Drizzle olive oil on the grill or skillet and place the patties on it. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C.
  5. While the patties are cooking, slice the roasted red bell pepper into strips.
  6. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Assemble the burgers: spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each bun, place a lettuce leaf, the cooked patty, roasted red pepper strips, and a slice of tomato.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
