Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Ripe tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden brown color.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on a separate skillet or in a toaster.
  5. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun. Top with sliced tomato, lettuce, and avocado.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice before placing the top bun on. Serve immediately.
