  • Lean ground beef - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Greek yogurt - 4 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chorizo, ground beef, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  5. Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the skillet or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a chorizo patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Drizzle with the yogurt sauce and top with the other half of the bun.
