- Chorizo sausage - 200 grams, casing removed
- Lean ground beef - 100 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Greek yogurt - 4 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chorizo, ground beef, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly in the skillet or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a chorizo patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Drizzle with the yogurt sauce and top with the other half of the bun.
