Ingredients
- Ground goat meat - 250 grams
- Goat cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Fig jam - 2 tablespoons
- Arugula - 1 cup
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground goat meat, crumbled goat cheese, chopped parsley, thyme, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden crust.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the whole grain burger buns on a separate pan or under the broiler until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading fig jam on the bottom halves of the buns, adding a cooked patty, and topping with fresh arugula. Place the top halves of the buns on each burger.
- Serve immediately with a side salad or sweet potato fries, if desired.
