Ingredients
- Ground beef (buey) - 400 grams
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a burger patty.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the aioli by mixing mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly on a separate skillet or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of the aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty on top, then layer with sliced tomato, lettuce, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
