- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon

- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a food processor, combine the almonds, chickpeas, garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms.
- Shape the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, slice the whole wheat buns and toast them in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a cooked patty, tomato slices, avocado, red onion, and parsley.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
