  • Egg - 1 large
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, anise seeds, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls (about 2.5 cm in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
  6. Press down slightly on each ball to flatten them a bit.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
