Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, anise seeds, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls (about 2.5 cm in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
- Press down slightly on each ball to flatten them a bit.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
