Ingredients

  • Ripe plantains - 2 medium

Steps

  1. Peel the ripe plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-2 cm thick pieces.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the plantain slices in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Fry the plantains for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and caramelized.

  6. Sprinkle with salt to taste and serve warm with lime wedges on the side.
