- Extra virgin olive oil - 60 ml
- Garlic cloves - 4, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gluten-free spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, and then drain the spaghetti.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
- If the sauce is too dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
- Season with salt, black pepper, fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Toss again to combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
