- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- In the last 3 minutes of cooking the spaghetti, add the broccoli florets to the pot to blanch them.
- While the pasta and broccoli are cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden, about 2 minutes.
