  • Ground turkey - 250 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Canned tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Pour in the canned tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the tomato sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  7. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil.
