- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Canned tomatoes - 400 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh basil - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Pour in the canned tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the tomato sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Serve the meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil.
