Ingredients

  • Milk - 250 ml
  • Sugar - 50 g
  • Cornstarch - 20 g
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Mixed seasonal fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, banana) - 200 g
  • Whipped cream - 100 ml
  • Mint leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before transferring to a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly against the surface to prevent a skin from forming, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, wash and chop the mixed seasonal fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  5. After cooling, take the cream mixture from the fridge and whisk it to smooth it out again.
  6. In serving glasses, layer the cream mixture and fruits alternatively until the glasses are filled.
  7. Top each serving with whipped cream and garnish with a mint leaf.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your Cremas de Fruta.
