Ingredients
- Milk - 250 ml
- Sugar - 50 g
- Cornstarch - 20 g
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Mixed seasonal fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, banana) - 200 g
- Whipped cream - 100 ml
- Mint leaves - for garnish
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before transferring to a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly against the surface to prevent a skin from forming, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, wash and chop the mixed seasonal fruits into bite-sized pieces.
- After cooling, take the cream mixture from the fridge and whisk it to smooth it out again.
- In serving glasses, layer the cream mixture and fruits alternatively until the glasses are filled.
- Top each serving with whipped cream and garnish with a mint leaf.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Cremas de Fruta.
