- Beef shank - 200 grams
- Chicken thighs (halal) - 200 grams
- Chorizo (halal) - 100 grams
- Carrots - 2 medium, chopped
- Potatoes - 2 medium, diced
- Cabbage - 200 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Bay leaf - 1
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Water - 1.5 liters
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the beef shank and chicken thighs to the pot, browning them on all sides for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped tomato, paprika, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Pour in the water, ensuring the meats are fully submerged, and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1 hour.
- Add the chopped carrots, potatoes, and cabbage to the pot, mixing them well with the broth.
- Add the chorizo to the pot and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until all the ingredients are tender.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
