Ingredients

  • Beef shank - 200 grams
  • Chicken thighs (halal) - 200 grams
  • Chorizo (halal) - 100 grams
  • Carrots - 2 medium, chopped
  • Potatoes - 2 medium, diced
  • Cabbage - 200 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 1.5 liters

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the beef shank and chicken thighs to the pot, browning them on all sides for about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomato, paprika, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the water, ensuring the meats are fully submerged, and bring to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1 hour.
  6. Add the chopped carrots, potatoes, and cabbage to the pot, mixing them well with the broth.
  7. Add the chorizo to the pot and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until all the ingredients are tender.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
