Ingredients

  • desiccated coconut - 100 grams
  • sweetened condensed milk - 50 ml
  • granulated sugar - 30 grams
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • egg white - 1 large
  • pinch of salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the desiccated coconut, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, vanilla extract, egg white, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined and the mixture is sticky.
  4. Using your hands, form small balls or mounds about 2.5 cm in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cocadas are golden brown on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
