Ingredients
- Yuca (Cassava) - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh lime juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Peel the yuca root and cut it into thick slices, approximately 1.5 cm wide.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the yuca slices. Cook for about 20 minutes until tender.
- Remove the yuca from the pot and let it cool for a few minutes. Then, slice each piece into thin chips, about 0.5 cm thick.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, toss the yuca chips with olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Spread the chips in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chips are golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with fresh lime juice before serving.
