  • Lime juice - 50 ml
  • Orange juice - 30 ml
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Cut the hake fillets into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a glass bowl.
  2. Pour the lime and orange juice over the fish, ensuring all pieces are covered. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.
  3. While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables by finely chopping the red onion, dicing the tomato and cucumber, and chopping the cilantro.
  4. After 30 minutes, remove the fish from the refrigerator. The fish should be slightly opaque and firm to the touch.
  5. Add the diced tomato, cucumber, chopped cilantro, and olive oil to the marinated fish. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
