Ingredients

  • Barley malt - 200 grams
  • Hops - 10 grams
  • Water - 1.5 liters
  • Yeast (brewing) - 5 grams
  • Sugar (for carbonation) - 10 grams
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 piece
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the barley malt, stirring well. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
  3. After steeping, strain the mixture into a fermentation vessel, discarding the barley.
  4. In the same pot, bring the strained liquid back to a boil and add the hops and cinnamon stick. Boil for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and cool the mixture to about 20°C (68°F).
  6. Once cooled, transfer the mixture to the fermentation vessel and add the yeast and lemon zest.
  7. Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 7-10 days.
  8. After fermentation, add sugar for carbonation and bottle the beer, leaving it to carbonate for another 5 days in a dark place.
  9. Chill the beer in the refrigerator before serving, and enjoy responsibly.
