Ingredients
- Barley malt - 200 grams
- Hops - 10 grams
- Water - 1.5 liters
- Yeast (brewing) - 5 grams
- Sugar (for carbonation) - 10 grams
- Cinnamon stick - 1 piece
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a large pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the barley malt, stirring well. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
- After steeping, strain the mixture into a fermentation vessel, discarding the barley.
- In the same pot, bring the strained liquid back to a boil and add the hops and cinnamon stick. Boil for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool the mixture to about 20°C (68°F).
- Once cooled, transfer the mixture to the fermentation vessel and add the yeast and lemon zest.
- Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 7-10 days.
- After fermentation, add sugar for carbonation and bottle the beer, leaving it to carbonate for another 5 days in a dark place.
- Chill the beer in the refrigerator before serving, and enjoy responsibly.
