Ingredients

  • Spelt grains - 100 grams
  • Water - 500 milliliters
  • Almond milk - 200 milliliters
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh berries (mixed) - 100 grams
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts) - 30 grams
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Rinse the spelt grains under cold water and drain.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add the rinsed spelt grains and a pinch of salt.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the grains are tender and most of the water is absorbed.
  4. Once cooked, remove from heat and stir in the almond milk, honey, and cinnamon.
  5. Divide the spelt mixture into two bowls and top with fresh berries and chopped nuts.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy your nutritious breakfast.
