- Spelt grains - 100 grams
- Water - 500 milliliters
- Almond milk - 200 milliliters
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh berries (mixed) - 100 grams
- Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts) - 30 grams
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- Rinse the spelt grains under cold water and drain.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil and add the rinsed spelt grains and a pinch of salt.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the grains are tender and most of the water is absorbed.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and stir in the almond milk, honey, and cinnamon.
