Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 100 grams, diced
  • Chorizo - 50 grams, sliced
  • Potato - 200 grams, peeled and diced
  • Turnip greens (or kale) - 100 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable broth - 500 milliliters
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the diced pork belly until browned.
  2. Add the sliced chorizo and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the chorizo releases its oils.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the diced potatoes and pour in the vegetable broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Add the chopped turnip greens (or kale) to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste before serving.
