- Octopus - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1 large
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Romaine lettuce - 4 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
Steps
- Start by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool.
- Once the octopus is cool enough to handle, chop it into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped octopus, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, almond flour, egg, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- To assemble, place each patty on a romaine lettuce leaf, top with sliced avocado, tomato, and red onion. Serve immediately.
