Ingredients

  • Halal beef chorizo - 200 grams
  • Ground Halal beef - 150 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cheese slices (Halal) - 2
  • Aioli sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Pickles - 4 slices

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Halal beef chorizo, ground Halal beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each burger to melt.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading aioli sauce on the bottom bun, adding lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and topping with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
