Ingredients
- Ground goat meat - 300 grams
- Almond flour - 30 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 0.5 teaspoon
- Salt - 0.5 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 0.25 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 0.5 medium, thinly sliced
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground goat meat, almond flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice brown crust.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings. In a separate bowl, mix the sliced tomato, red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped parsley. Drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and toss gently.
- Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, take a romaine lettuce leaf and place a burger patty on top. Add the tomato and feta mixture over the patty, then top with another lettuce leaf to form a wrap. Repeat for the second burger.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb Burguer de Cabra!
