Ingredients

  • Canned tuna in olive oil - 150 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic clove, minced - 1
  • Red bell pepper, finely chopped - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Drain the canned tuna and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add almond flour, egg, chopped parsley, minced garlic, chopped red bell pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest to the bowl.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Form small bite-sized balls or patties from the mixture, about the size of a golf ball.
  5. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the tuna balls to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  9. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley or lemon wedges if desired.
