- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Roasted red peppers - 50 grams, sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - 5 leaves, torn
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Slice the baguette or crusty bread in half lengthwise.
- Drizzle the inside of both halves with olive oil.
- Layer the sliced Manchego cheese evenly on one half of the bread.
- Add the sliced tomato and roasted red peppers on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Top with torn fresh basil leaves.
- Close the sandwich with the other half of the bread.
- Press down gently and cut the sandwich into two equal portions.
