Ingredients

  • Chorizo sausage - 200 grams
  • Baguette - 1 medium (approximately 250 grams)
  • Manchego cheese - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Slice the chorizo sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chorizo to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and slightly crispy, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the chorizo cooks, slice the baguette in half lengthwise and lightly toast it if desired.
  5. Once the chorizo is cooked, remove it from the heat and set aside.
  6. On the bottom half of the toasted baguette, layer the cooked chorizo, followed by the sliced Manchego cheese.
  7. Sprinkle chopped parsley and red pepper flakes over the top, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Place the top half of the baguette on the sandwich, slice into portions, and serve immediately.
