Ingredients
- Beef steak (sirloin or flank) - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves - 3, minced
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Place the beef steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the meat is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 57°C (135°F) for medium-rare.
- Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with your choice of sides.
