Ingredients

  • Raw almonds - 200 grams
  • Granulated sugar - 100 grams
  • Water - 50 milliliters
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and a pinch of salt over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add the raw almonds to the saucepan and stir well to ensure they are all coated with the sugar mixture.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook the mixture, stirring frequently, until the water evaporates and the sugar starts to crystallize on the almonds, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Once the sugar has crystallized, lower the heat and add the cinnamon powder, stirring continuously to coat the almonds evenly.
  5. Transfer the almonds to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading them out in a single layer to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, break apart any clumps and serve as a delightful breakfast treat.
