- Artichokes - 2 large

- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Fill a large bowl with water and add the juice of half a lemon. Set aside.
- Trim the artichokes by removing the tough outer leaves, cutting off the top third, and trimming the stem. Place them in the lemon water to prevent browning.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove the artichokes from the water, pat dry, and slice them in half lengthwise.
- Brush the cut sides of the artichokes with the olive oil mixture.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the artichoke halves cut side down on the grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes until grill marks appear.
- Flip the artichokes and cook for an additional 5 minutes until tender.
- Remove from the grill and drizzle with remaining lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
