Ingredients

  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Zucchini - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Black olives - 50 grams, pitted and sliced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  6. In a small saucepan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, cumin, and paprika, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the spiced tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Arrange sliced zucchini, red bell pepper, and red onion over the sauce. Top with sliced black olives.
