Ingredients
- Ground beef or lamb - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Harissa - 2 tablespoons
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the harissa sauce by mixing it with a little olive oil to loosen it up if necessary.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the same skillet for about 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Drizzle with harissa sauce before topping with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
