  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Rinse the octopus under cold water and remove the beak and any innards.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 30 minutes until tender.
  3. Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool slightly before cutting it into manageable pieces.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  5. Add the octopus pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the octopus pieces for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a nice char.
