Ingredients

  • Almonds (sliced) - 20 grams
  • Butter (unsalted, softened) - 50 grams
  • Sugar - 75 grams
  • Eggs - 1 large
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour - 30 grams
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the ground almonds, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Grease a small tart pan (about 20 cm) with butter and sprinkle a little flour to prevent sticking.
  7. Pour the almond mixture into the prepared tart pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
