Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the diced red and green bell peppers to the skillet, and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens and flavors meld.
- While the pepper and tomato mixture is cooking, roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the cooked taktouka mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
- If using, sprinkle crumbled feta cheese and sliced olives over the top.
- Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the pizza.
