- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Lemon - 1, juiced
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a tajine or a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sliced carrots and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked chestnuts and chickpeas to the pot, mixing well.
- Sprinkle in the cinnamon, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper; stir to combine.

- Allow to cook for about 20 minutes, until the carrots are tender.
