- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into even-sized cubes.
- Place the sweet potato cubes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender.
- While the sweet potatoes are cooking, heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot.
