Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Ground lamb - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Red onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1 small, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Lemon - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and add the sliced red onion. Sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add ground lamb to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir in cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the lamb is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Top the sauce with the cooked lamb mixture, followed by sliced bell pepper and halved cherry tomatoes.
  8. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the toppings and place the pizza in the oven.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, and serve with lemon wedges.
