Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams

  • Parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, diced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Yogurt - 50 grams (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and finely chopped red onion.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into small oval or round meatballs (about 5 cm in diameter).
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush with olive oil.
  5. Place the kofta on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through.
  6. While the kofta are grilling, prepare a refreshing cucumber salad by mixing diced cucumber with lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  7. Once the kofta are cooked, serve them hot with a dollop of yogurt and the cucumber salad on the side.
