- ground lamb - 300 grams
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- paprika - 1 teaspoon
- cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- cucumber - 1/2, grated
- fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, grated cucumber, and chopped mint in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly on a grill or pan.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping with the yogurt sauce. Add additional toppings if desired, such as lettuce or tomato.
