Ingredients

  • Carrots - 300 grams, peeled and sliced

  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a medium pot, bring water to a boil and add the sliced carrots. Cook for 5-7 minutes until just tender, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and stir in the cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, allowing the spices to coat the carrots evenly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and lemon juice. Mix well to combine.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature as a side dish.
