  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for serving)
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Cucumber (sliced) - 1/2 medium

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and the egg.
  2. Mix the ingredients well with your hands until fully combined, then form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves as a base for serving, and slice the tomato and cucumber.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with slices of tomato and cucumber, and serve immediately.
