- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Saffron threads - a pinch
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- White fish fillets (e.g., cod or haddock) - 200 grams, cut into chunks
- Shrimp - 100 grams, peeled and deveined
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery to the pot. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes, fish stock, paprika, cumin, and saffron threads. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the fish chunks and shrimp to the pot. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
