Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
  • Almonds, finely ground - 100 grams
  • Honey - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter, melted - 50 grams
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely ground almonds, honey, cinnamon, and sugar until well mixed.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush again with butter.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo dough into 4 equal strips.
  5. Place 1 tablespoon of the almond mixture at the end of each strip, fold the sides over the filling, and roll it up to form a triangle shape. Continue folding in triangles until you reach the end of the strip.
  6. Brush the top of each samsa with melted butter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and almond filling.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
