Ingredients
- Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
- Almonds, finely ground - 100 grams
- Honey - 50 grams
- Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Butter, melted - 50 grams
- Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely ground almonds, honey, cinnamon, and sugar until well mixed.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush again with butter.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into 4 equal strips.
- Place 1 tablespoon of the almond mixture at the end of each strip, fold the sides over the filling, and roll it up to form a triangle shape. Continue folding in triangles until you reach the end of the strip.
- Brush the top of each samsa with melted butter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and almond filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
