Ingredients

  • Romaine lettuce - 100g, chopped

  • Radishes - 50g, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 50g, diced
  • Red onion - 30g, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley - 20g, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 10g, chopped
  • Pita bread - 50g, torn into pieces
  • Olive oil - 30ml
  • Lemon juice - 15ml
  • Sumac - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, diced cucumber, diced tomato, sliced radishes, diced green bell pepper, and thinly sliced red onion.
  2. Add the chopped parsley and mint to the bowl, mixing well to combine all the vegetables.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.
  5. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the torn pita bread pieces until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
