Ingredients

  • Milk - 500 ml
  • Sahleb powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds) - 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sahleb powder and sugar.
  2. Gradually add 100 ml of water to the pan, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Pour in the milk and continue stirring over medium heat until the mixture thickens and reaches a smooth consistency, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and half of the ground cinnamon.
  5. Pour the sahleb into two serving bowls.
  6. Top each bowl with chopped nuts and a sprinkle of the remaining ground cinnamon before serving warm.
