- Milk - 500 ml
- Sahleb powder - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds) - 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine the sahleb powder and sugar.
- Gradually add 100 ml of water to the pan, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Pour in the milk and continue stirring over medium heat until the mixture thickens and reaches a smooth consistency, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and half of the ground cinnamon.
- Pour the sahleb into two serving bowls.
- Top each bowl with chopped nuts and a sprinkle of the remaining ground cinnamon before serving warm.
