  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 units
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2, diced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. Soak the saffron threads in 1 tablespoon of warm water for 10 minutes to release their flavor.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and the saffron water.
  3. Mix everything well and form into 2 equal patties.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  6. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and diced cucumber in a small bowl.
  7. Once the burgers are done, toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, adding a slice of tomato, lettuce, and a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce.
  9. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
