- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Saffron threads - 0.1 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 units
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber - 1/2, diced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 2
Steps
- Soak the saffron threads in 1 tablespoon of warm water for 10 minutes to release their flavor.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and the saffron water.
- Mix everything well and form into 2 equal patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and diced cucumber in a small bowl.
- Once the burgers are done, toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, adding a slice of tomato, lettuce, and a generous dollop of the yogurt sauce.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
