Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 120 milliliters
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 30 milliliters
- Salt - 5 grams
- Saffron threads - 0.1 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Fresh parsley - 10 grams, chopped
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Black olives - 30 grams, pitted and sliced
Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
- While the dough is rising, infuse the saffron in 2 tablespoons of hot water and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to form a pizza base. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the sautéed garlic over the pizza base, then drizzle the saffron infusion evenly on top.
- Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes, sliced black olives, and shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
