Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 120 milliliters
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 30 milliliters
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Saffron threads - 0.1 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Fresh parsley - 10 grams, chopped
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Black olives - 30 grams, pitted and sliced

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  4. While the dough is rising, infuse the saffron in 2 tablespoons of hot water and set aside.
  5. In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to form a pizza base. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the sautéed garlic over the pizza base, then drizzle the saffron infusion evenly on top.
  9. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes, sliced black olives, and shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
