- All-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Olive oil - 60 ml
- Warm water - 60 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red bell pepper - 1 large
- Yellow bell pepper - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Black olives - 50 grams, sliced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- While the dough rests, roast the red and yellow bell peppers. Place them on a baking tray and drizzle with olive oil. Add crushed garlic cloves, cumin, paprika, and chili flakes. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
- After roasting, remove the peppers from the oven, and let them cool slightly. Peel off the skin, remove the seeds, and slice the peppers.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to form a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the roasted peppers evenly over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle sliced olives and chopped parsley on top.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and a little more olive oil. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
