  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (optional for heat)
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained chickpeas, olive oil, ground cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  3. Toss the chickpeas until they are evenly coated with the oil and spices.
  4. Spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
